Connect Google Analytics (GA4) to Uplup
Connect Google Analytics (GA4) to Uplup
Track form and quiz interactions in Google Analytics 4 so you can measure conversion rates and funnel drop-off.
What this does
Connects your forms and quizzes to your GA4 property. Uplup fires standard GA4 events on form views, submissions, and (for quizzes) question-by-question completion so you can analyse where users drop off.
How to connect
- Open your Uplup brand dashboard and click Integrations in the left sidebar.
- Scroll to the Analytics & Tracking section and click Google Analytics (GA4).
- Paste your GA4 Measurement ID. It looks like
G-XXXXXXXXXX. You can find it in your GA4 property under Admin → Data Streams → Web → click the stream → the ID is at the top right. - Click Save.
What events fire
- page_view: when someone opens a form or quiz
- form_start: when someone interacts with the first field
- form_submit: when someone successfully submits
- quiz_question_answered: per-question for quizzes
- quiz_completed: when a quiz is fully completed
Setting up conversions in GA4
In GA4 under Admin → Events, mark form_submit as a conversion. Once you have data, you can build funnels in Explore to see drop-off between form_start and form_submit.
Verifying it’s working
Open your Uplup form. In a separate tab, open GA4 → Reports → Realtime. You should see your visit within a few seconds. Submit the form, and the form_submit event should appear in the realtime event list.
