Configure how your quiz calculates and displays scores. Set point values per question, enable partial credit for multi-select questions, and configure pass/fail thresholds.

Scoring Modes
Choose how scores are calculated and displayed to quiz takers.

Points
Display total points earned out of total possible.
- Display: “You scored 8/10 points”
- Best for: Trivia quizzes, gamified assessments
Percentage
Show score as a percentage of total points.
- Display: “You scored 80%”
- Best for: Standardized testing, knowledge assessments
Pass/Fail
Display pass or fail status based on a threshold score.
- Display: “PASSED” or “FAILED” badge
- Best for: Certification, compliance testing
Personality
Match users to outcomes based on answer patterns (no right/wrong).
- Display: Matched personality type with description
- Best for: “What type are you?” quizzes, product finders
Configuring Scoring Mode
- Open your quiz in the builder
- Click Settings in the left sidebar
- Select the “Scoring” tab
- Choose your scoring mode from the dropdown

- Show: The Scoring Mode dropdown with options: Points, Percentage, Pass/Fail, Personality.
Setting Point Values
By default, each question is worth 1 point. You can customize this per question to weight some questions more heavily.
Changing Point Value
- Select a question in the builder
- In the right settings panel, find the “Scoring” section
- Enter the point value in the “Points” field

- What to capture: A question selected with the right panel showing the Scoring section.
- Show: The Points field with a value entered (e.g., “2”).
When to Use Different Point Values
- Harder questions: Worth more points (e.g., 3 points vs 1)
- Important topics: Higher point value
- Bonus questions: Extra points
Partial Credit
Award partial points for partially correct answers on questions with multiple correct options.
Supported Question Types
Partial credit applies to:
- Checkboxes (multiple answer questions)
- Picture Choice (when multiple selections allowed)
- Ranking (points per item in correct position)
Partial Credit Modes
- Proportional: Score = (correct selections / total correct) × points
- No Penalty: Award points for correct selections without deducting for incorrect ones
Enabling Partial Credit
- Select a checkbox or multi-select question
- In the right panel, find the “Scoring” section
- Toggle on “Partial Credit”
- Select the partial credit mode
Example
Question worth 4 points: “Select all vowels: A, B, C, E, I”
- Correct answers: A, E, I (3 items)
- User selects: A, E (2 correct, 0 incorrect)
- With proportional mode: 2/3 × 4 = 2.67 points
- Without partial credit: 0 points (must get all correct)
Pass/Fail Settings
When using Pass/Fail scoring mode, configure the threshold for passing.
Setting Passing Score
- Set scoring mode to “Pass/Fail”
- Enter the Passing Score value (e.g., 70)
- Choose the type: Percentage or Points

- What to capture: The Scoring settings with Pass/Fail mode selected.
- Show: Passing Score field set to “70” and the Percentage/Points selector.
Pass/Fail Display
Quiz takers see:
- PASSED (green badge) – if score meets or exceeds threshold
- FAILED (red badge) – if score is below threshold
- Score percentage is also shown alongside the badge
Score-Based Result Pages
Create different result pages that display based on the quiz taker’s score range. This is how you show customized feedback for different performance levels.
Creating Result Pages
- Click Result Pages in the left sidebar (trophy icon)
- Click “Add Result”
- Set the score range (min% – max%)
- Customize title, description, and image
- Add a call-to-action button if desired
Example Result Pages

| 90% – 100% | Expert Level! | You’ve mastered this topic. |
| 70% – 89% | Great Job! | You know your stuff. |
| 50% – 69% | Good Effort | A bit more practice and you’ll ace it. |
| 0% – 49% | Keep Learning | Review the material and try again. |
