Configure what quiz takers see after they finish: scores, percentage, pass/fail, personality match, question breakdown, and answer reveals. All result-related settings live in the Quiz Settings modal under the Scoring and Options tabs.

Opening Quiz Settings
Open your quiz in the builder and click the quiz mode button in the top toolbar (it shows your current scoring mode, for example “Scored Quiz” or “Personality Quiz”). The Quiz Settings modal opens with three tabs: Scoring, Options, and Lead Capture.
Result-related settings are split across these tabs:
- Scoring – picks how results are calculated (Scored, Percentage, Pass/Fail, Personality) and defines personality types or pass thresholds.
- Options – contains the Results Display section that controls what the score page shows (final score, percentage, breakdown, correct answers, explanations).
- Lead Capture – toggles the lead form that appears before results.
Choosing a Scoring Mode
The Scoring tab lets you pick one of four modes. The mode you pick changes what the result page looks like.
- Scored – total points earned. Result page shows points and percentage.
- Percentage – score expressed as a percent of total possible points.
- Pass/Fail – a passing threshold you set (e.g. 70%). Result page shows “Passed” or “Not Passed”.
- Personality – matches answers to one of the personality types you define. Result page shows the winning type with its name, color, image, and description.
To switch modes after one is selected, click Change next to the active mode card.
If you choose Pass/Fail, set the Passing Score as a percentage or a raw point value. If you choose Personality, the tab shows a Personality Types list where you can Add, edit, or delete types, set a color and image for each, and toggle Show percentage breakdown to display how the user matched each type on their result page.
Results Display options
Open the Options tab and scroll to the Results Display section. These toggles control what the results page renders.
- Show final score – display the user’s score on the result page (with “Passed!” / “Not Passed” if Pass/Fail mode is on).
- Show percentage – render the big number as a percent. Turn off to show the raw “X / Y correct” instead.
- Show answer explanations – display per-question explanations (if you wrote any) alongside the breakdown.
- Show question breakdown – list every question with the user’s answer and whether it was right or wrong.
The Results Display section is hidden when the Scoring mode is Personality, since personality quizzes don’t have right or wrong answers.
When to show correct answers
Below the Results Display checkboxes, the Show correct answers dropdown sets when the right answer is revealed:
- Always (instant feedback) – the correct answer appears the moment the user picks one. Best for trivia and study quizzes.
- After quiz submission – the user only sees right answers in the breakdown on the results page. Best for graded tests.
- Never – the user only sees their score, no per-question reveal.
The same Options tab also exposes a separate Show instant feedback toggle under Behavior. This toggle controls per-question reveal during the quiz (it writes to questionBehavior.instantFeedback), independently of the Show correct answers dropdown above (which writes to resultsDisplay.showCorrectAnswers with values Always, After quiz submission, or Never and governs the post-submission summary). The two settings can be combined: for example, hide answers during the quiz but reveal them after submission.
Personality results
For Personality quizzes, the result page shows a card with the winning type’s name, color accent, image (if you uploaded one), and rich-text description. Add types from the Scoring tab.
- On the Scoring tab, switch the mode to Personality.
- Click Add to create a type. Give it a name, pick a color, optionally upload an image, and write a description.
- Repeat for each result type you want users to land on.
- Toggle Show percentage breakdown if you want users to see how strongly they matched each type, not just the winner.
Map answers to types from inside each question’s editor (each option points at one or more personality types). Without that mapping the result will be empty.
Retakes and best score
Further down the Options tab, the Retakes section controls whether users can take the quiz again from the results page.
- Allow quiz retakes – shows a “Retake Quiz” button on the result page. On by default.
- Max attempts – cap the number of retakes (leave empty for unlimited). Counter is shown to the user.
- Cooldown between attempts – minutes the user must wait before retaking. A countdown message replaces the retake button while it’s active.
- Keep best score – on scored modes only, surfaces a “Best Score” card on the result page after a retake and badges new bests.
Lead capture before results
The Lead Capture tab lets you require contact info before the result page is rendered. It’s enabled by default for new quizzes.
Toggle Collect lead information to require a name and email before users see their results. Click Customize Lead Capture to jump to the dedicated editor for the lead-capture page, where you can add or remove fields, mark them required, and design the page (heading, copy, images, button text).
