Form Settings & Configuration Guide | Uplup
Configure how your form looks, behaves, and connects to your stack. Uplup splits form configuration across three places: the Design panel and Security panel (left sidebar), and the Connect tab (top navigation).
Table of Contents
Where Form Settings Live
Forms don’t have a single “Settings” tab. Instead, configuration is grouped by purpose:
- Design – Bottom of the left sidebar on the Create tab. Controls colors, fonts, layout, themes, and finish-page styling.
- Security – Bottom of the left sidebar on the Create tab. Controls submission limits, spam protection, and country/state restrictions.
- Connect – Top tab. Controls CRM, analytics, payment, automation, webhooks, API keys, and email notifications.

The top tabs across every form are Create, Logic, Connect, Share, and Results. There is no separate “Settings” or “Edit” tab.
Design Panel
Click Design at the bottom of the left sidebar to open the design panel. From here you can apply a preset theme, generate one with AI, or fine-tune colors, fonts, and layout.

Themes
Click Choose Theme to open the theme library. Uplup ships with 24 preset quick-style themes covering everything from minimal corporate looks to vibrant gradient styles. You can also generate a fully custom theme with the built-in AI Theme Studio.
Colors
Five core swatches drive the entire form palette: Background, Text, Button, Button Text, and Accent. Changing any of these unbinds the active theme so further edits stay yours.
Font & Text Size
Pick a body font from the searchable Google Fonts list and adjust the base text size with the slider.
Layout
Choose a container style (Card / Clean / Split-image), a button shape, and a form width. The Split layout is only available when your form uses the step-by-step (card-form) presentation mode.
Images
Upload a background photo and a logo. Custom backgrounds require Pro or higher.
Security Panel
Click Security at the bottom of the left sidebar to open the security panel. It has four sections, all in one scroll.

Submission Limits
Cap how many times each person can submit. Quick presets cover once, twice, 5 times, unlimited, or a custom number up to 9,999. Submissions are matched per user.
Spam Protection
Three levels:
- Off – No protection. Every submission is accepted.
- On (recommended) – Standard protection against bot and spam submissions.
- Strict – Maximum protection. Also blocks VPNs, proxies, and data centers.
An Allow VPN connections toggle lets users on a VPN submit when protection is set to On. Strict mode always blocks VPNs regardless of this toggle.
Country Restrictions
Restrict where your form can be submitted from. Pick a list of countries and either allow only them or block them. Country restrictions are a Business plan feature.
U.S. State Restrictions
Available when the U.S. is included in the country list. Allow or block specific states the same way. Also Business plan.
Connect Tab (Integrations)
Click the Connect top tab to manage everything that links your form to outside systems. Cards are grouped into four categories: Automation, Developer, Email & CRM, and Analytics.

Automation
- Zapier – Connect Uplup to 8,000+ apps.
- n8n – Open-source automation; install the dedicated
n8n-nodes-upluppackage. - MCP for AI assistants – Hosted MCP server so Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor can read and edit your forms.
Developer
- API Keys – Generate keys for the Uplup REST API. Pro+.
- Webhooks – Real-time HTTP notifications, with per-event filtering and per-form filtering. Pro+.

Analytics
- Google Analytics (GA4)

- TikTok Pixel
- Google Tag Manager
All four are Pro+. The Payment sub-tab inside the Connect tab also exposes Stripe (Pro+, OAuth) which is used by Payment Page types.
Form Name & Status
Renaming the Form
Click the form name in the top-left header (next to the home icon) and edit it inline. This is the internal title used to organize forms in your dashboard, not what the public sees.
Saving and Publishing
The Save button in the top-right header saves your latest changes. Forms autosave in the background as you work. To publish or share the form, switch to the Share tab and grab the public URL or embed code.
