The Blue Nile is located in the heart of Frenchmen St. and is definitely one of the more popular spots in New Orleans. Hosting many styles of music, talent is rarely compromised. It is a great spot to park your fanny for the night, although your fanny will definitely NOT be parked. It's a place to dance and have a great time. Drinks are moderately priced, so if you're on a budget go for the wells and High Life.
There is also an upstairs balcony room. DJ's, experimental music, and other local musicians play here frequently. It's a nice place to get a full view of Frenchmen St. It's quite popular on big NOLA holidays like Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, and Halloween.
