Located in the Florida State University Student Union, Club Downunder is a fantastic place to catch nationally touring bands. It is managed, booked and staffed by students, and funded by student government. As a result, all shows are free for FSU students, and so attendence is always high. Tickets are reasonably priced for non-FSU-students, but bewarned: they do not sell any tickets in advance, and if you're planning on coming in from out of town for a show, you may have to get there VERY early or risk it selling out.
There are nice couches upstairs, and some tables for an excellent view of the stage and the crowd. Downstairs, the stage is only a couple of feet off the ground so there's always a nice closeness between band and audience. The sound is good, beer is cheap, and the line up is always very impressive.
