Ives Concert Park is a venue that is absolutely perfect for a summer concert. This outdoor amphitheater, located on the Western Connecticut State University campus, is a great environment to see your favorite, award-winning artists. While the amphitheater seats about 200-300, the general admission lawn can hold many many more concert goers. Be sure to pack a picnic but be warned that no beverages are allowed in (yes, securtiy does check upon entrance.)
The performance area is set on an oversized gazebo surrounded by a pond/fountain area, which provides a great sound. Concert times are generally set in the early evening so the sunset and stars set a picturesque background for a great musical experience.
