The owner's of Tulsa's Soundpony Lounge felt like something was missing in the local music and entertainment scene: Magic. Not content with the usual dive bar atmosphere with watered down beer and low-life patrons, they opened the Soundpony in hopes to provide a more civilized experience, complete with better beer, better music and FREE concerts for all!
Bands have been known to just "set up anywhere" to play. On any given night, you might see your favorite indie band set up in one corner or the other, or a solo pianist on the stage, or even a funk rock trio busting grooves outback or on the sidewalk. This sense of freedom, coupled with the rustic environment and fantastic beer selection make Soundpony stand out among the rest in Tulsa.
