The Abbey is a fairly new venue right by Lake Eola, a few blocks east of the main downtown area of Orlando. It's certainly impressive looking, and they have a very eclectic set of events there. Ballet, comedy, theater, as well as plenty of music. The sound and acoustics are amazing, and there's space to sit and relax. It's definately an upscale place, and so it's not for everyone. Drinks are on the expensive side, and the acts that come through The Abbey are celebrated and prestigious. Probably not too many punk bands being invited.
