Located in a former bank vault, Tanquerays is a nice alternative to most of the other places to drink and see live music downtown. It's located in a basement - a rarity in Florida - and has a great bar. The live music area is to one side, and there are plenty of tables and chairs around. Because it's underground and fairly compact, the sound is pretty good, and as it's all-seater, the view is always good. Local bands play there most nights of the week, and have been known to jam with members of the audience. The one disclaimer about Tanquerays is that, because it's underground, there is not a lot of ventilation, and it fills up very quickly with cigarette smoke, and this may be a deal-breaker for some people.
